I wonder why Trump goes to Mar-A-Lago as frequently as he goes. You can make all sorts of DC cesspool jokes, but there has got to be a logical reason for his travel. He knows the optics aren’t *good* when he goes there every weekend and the press love pointing out what it costs for the POTUS to travel.

I tend to think there might be some concern about the WH being bugged or something along those lines. Yes, its conjecture, but its not totally unfounded nonsense, paranoia talk given the Rice news.

Does anyone else have any insight? Chances are he goes there since any sane person would choose Florida over D.C ... but there might be more to it.

I believe that Judicial Watch, hardly a left-wing organization, estimated that the Obama's leisure-related travel for his two terms cost the tax payers $97 million. They also did the $3.6 million estimate for the Mar a Largo trips.
