Show me the law that says UA can unilaterally decide to drag a passenger out of his seat and beat the hell out of him for no reason. Exactly which part of the contract of carriage do you think Mr. Dao breached?

UA did not commit the act of physical violence against Dr. Dao.

And I did not say that he breached the contract of carriage - I think it is easily arguable that UA did, however it is still a requirement for the airline to position its flight crews to not disrupt the flow of flights.

You appear to be arguing out of emotion, rather than intellect. I am trying to show that UA is not in the right here, but they appear to have screwed up while trying to remain within the operational rules they are bound to follow.

UA appears to have “acted stupidly”. But they are NOT responsible for the over-reaction of the airport police.
