Astronomers capture image of elusive force that connects the universe

Captured by researchers at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, the composite image is proof that dark matter acts as a giant intergalactic web that connects galaxies throughout space and time. Their findings were published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Dark matter is an invisible force that doesn’t emit or reflect light, and is only detectable through gravity. It makes up around 27 percent of the observable universe and scientists have long predicted that the ghostly substance plays a crucial role in the makeup of our entire universe.

“For decades, researchers have been predicting the existence of dark-matter filaments between galaxies that act like a web-like superstructure connecting galaxies together,” Mike Hudson, an author of the study, said in a statement.

We have now thoroughly highjacked this thread, what one of us should do is post an article about the (fascinating)keyhole tombs (for example) and carry this discussion on from there...

...The problem with the ancient history of Japan is that history and myth are regarded as one and the same.

That's not a problem, that's a clue. For example, the various flood myths throughout the world. Even China has one, and it's nothing to do with the periodic river flooding.

Yes, I see what you mean, but at some point the landscape becomes unrecognizable and we are in another world. One wonders how heaven and earth seem to intersect so seamlessly in the old mythology of Japan, when in fact we humans generally cannot see that at all.

The connection has been called a number of things: sky bridge or star bridge, for example. But there is a definite sense of earth, in between and the “high plains” of heaven.

The unavoidable conclusion I have made is that the two realms exist in juxtaposition rather than here and there, and that there is abundant interaction between the two in terms of energy exchange, but only rarely with form.

As you know, I find Japan of utmost interest.I have seen a lot more than perhaps I should, LOL.

there’s more twixt heaven and earth than dreamt of in our philosophy...

From 1434 onward, Europeans embraced Chinese intellectual ideas, discoveries, and inventions – all which have formed the basis of European civilisation just as much as Greek philosophy and Roman law. Erudite and brilliantly reasoned, 1434 is sure to make headlines and change the way we see ourselves, our history, and our world.

Tai Pin Wang, a Canadian, discovered the records of the 1421 visit. The Renaissance may have been caused by the visit ( book 1434).

I hadn’t known!

Thanks !
