Let’s see a cat do that!

My dog would have done the same thing. She hated being at the vets. Hated it.
But she was only 8 lbs and the size of the average cat.
And not very smart.
Dumb but lovable - just like her owner.
My dog did the same thing when I dropped him off at the vet. The girl took him in the back and I left. I opened my car to leave and he pushed by me and jumped in my car.
The girl came running out and said that dog can open doors. I forgot to tell them that because I thought they would keep him in a cage.
We always had to keep the doors locked, or he would just come and go at will.
He is gone now, but he was the smartest and naughtiest dog I ever had.
Figured it would be a Golden. Those dogs are smart.
He thought they said, “go to get tutored”
Certain breeds of dogs are clever enough to go wherever they want and get into anything they want.
Other breeds don’t know they exist.
They should let him be. He’s likely to have acquired a gun by now.
Not the least bit surprised. Pyrs are independent thinkers and will figure out solutions given time and proper motivation. My Pyr will take food off of high counter tops by moving chairs. He’s opened doors. Even took a dominos pizza out of the oven by pulling the towel on the oven handle.
The time had come that Topper needed to be put down and her father took him to the vet. Topper was sitting next to him, head on his lap. The vet comes into the waiting area. Topper got up, walked to vet, paused, turned around and walked back to her father and liked his hand, he then turned, head down and walked back to the vet and into the room he was lead to.
Her father always teared up when he told the story: "He knew it was time". Also said he would never put another dog down.
Great dog! I had one for a while that I had to reinforce all my fences and she still could climb right up and over any fence as long as she could get her nails and toes into it to grab she could climb it.
She finally got away one too many times and I let the Humane Society find another home for her. I like to think she found a home with some brick walls she couldn’t climb or just wandered off to be a free dog out in the wild. She was a roamer and nothing was going to stop her from doing it.
That dog looks just like my dog, Kiro. RIP
