“Btw..I take his comment to mean bannon is gone if he doesn’t make nice with prince jared.”

Seems like it.

Here is the whole quote. It does not sound good for Bannon.

“I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late,” Trump said. “I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own strategist and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary.”

He ended by saying, “Steve is a good guy, but I told them to straighten it out or I will.”

It’s been reported Kushner is leaking to MSNBC Scarborough negative happenings/comments about Bannon.

Whereas Bannon is reported to have told Boyle at Breitbart to ease up on Kushner.

If Bannon steps back to allow Kushner (and Kushner is driven by Wall Streeter Cohn and TPP’s architect Froman) to take center stage, then Bannon needs to merely survive for a few reasons.

1. Deny the democrats a victory of seeing Bannon removed, of his leaving.

2. Show the President he’s not a quitter (Trump hates quitters; views quitters as losers).

3. Be a friend to Kushner but careful to ensure he, Bannon, is not held responsible for Kushner’s failures.

On this last, Kushner will start to see failure and like any loser will search for a scapegoat. Bannon needs only ensure the President knows that Kushner owns his failures but importantly signals that he, Bannon, never moved Bannon to failure nor was gleeful in the failure.

Bannon should though, remind the President at every opportunity of what the members of the Trump movement are voicing and hoping to see.

When Kushner is forced out by his own failures, Bannon can slowly work his way back to center stage.

During the period when Kushner is starting to become aware of his failure, he will likely try and shift things that are failing over to Bannon. When this happens, Bannon needs to be careful. He needs to step up and state before both the President and Kushner together in the same meeting that he will be happy to take those things off of Kushner’s plate but that he will take charge and make changes. This way, Kushner is not able to shift his failure points over to Bannon without Bannon making it known that changes will be made.

My best of luck to Bannon.
