Former first lady Barbara Bush is missing two toes, her granddaughter Jenna Bush Hager revealed Monday.
"My grandma's missing a toe on each foot," the daughter of former President George W. Bush told Kathie Lee Gifford on "Today."

Upon realizing that the former first lady may have never disclosed not having a full set of toes, Bush Hager appeared to regret revealing the personal details.
"Ganny, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have said anything."

The missing toes are probably due to a birth defect called amniotic band syndrome. The cause is unknown but is not considered genetic.

I am surprised that Jenna did not know that her grandmother had to have the toes surgically removed due to a medical issue. Barbara Bush mentioned this in one of her books.
I don’t remember the medical issue, but I do remember that she mentioned this fact. Jenna should have known about this long ago.

I am skeptical of the official narrative on the Kennedy assassination, but nonetheless, 50 plus year old photographs of people who vaguely resemble George H.W. Bush or Ted Cruz's father are not proof even of their presence in Dallas or New Orleans, respectively. Neither of them are uncommon types. Dallas in 1963 was full of tallish Anglo-Saxon types, and pro-Castro or anti-Castro groups would have had large numbers of Latin or Mediterranean types.
