Yes, The president has to go to Congress for declarations of war. Trump isn’t declaring war.

We’ve been doing this for more than 100 years. It’s not right, but there it is.

I only recommend that we get the facts before losing our minds. It totally does not help Trump or his goals to do this. He’s not an idiot.

It seems that Trump is catching more flak from the right about this maneuver than Obama did with his “personally directed” Drone strikes on civilian targets in the middle east. This attack is a very, very low-key and calm way of letting people know that there is a new sheriff in town.

Even our most peaceful presidents have done stuff like this. This isn’t even Iran-Contra level.

I’m not losing my mind over it. I know the president can make these sections without Congress if there is an eminent threat to us, and I don’t see another Muslim attack on their own as an imminent attack on us.

The good thing I see about this is it probably got the attention and respect of world leaders.
