After reports of a chemical attack in Syria, the mainstream media and the political establishment are pushing for the ousting of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
What do we actually know about this chemical attack and why has there been such a quick push for further United States intervention in the Middle East?
And replace him with whom?

I have to agree with Steve Moyneux on this one. It makes absolutely no sense from Assad’s and Putin’s standpoint to gas a few noncombatants in a village. Yet, our intelligence agencies say they saw it all from satellites. Is this their latest tactic to destroy Trump? I am concerned.

Trump and Tillerson have a plan to make a deal with Assad and Putin.
Syria and Russia stop collaborating with Iran
Assad gets to stay but Assad kicks Iran out of Syrian and helps kick Iran out of Lebanon and collaborates in the war on terror. Assad moves toward non aggression with Israel.
Putin stops Russia's arming of Iran and ends it's nuclear collaboration with Iran
In return, Assad stays in power in Syria and sanctions are lifted on Russia.
This looked like a bad deal to Putin and Assad on Monday, April 3 2017 but may look like the deal of the century on Friday , April 7 2017 when they consider the alternative options.
These options include the Saddam/Gaddafi regime change plan for Assad and Saudi/Qatar pipeline through Syria for Putin.
Consider it the Art Of The Deal backed by the throw weight of US Tactical Air

Precisely, and has been said so many times here, what does Assad have to gain by gassing rebels/civilians? Answer: absolutely nothing. It makes no sense at all. Sounds contrived and in the wheelhouse of what the Taliban, al-Qaeda, and ISIS would do. I sure hope Trump has solid evidence on this.
