This is the same intel community that has been backstabbing Trump for 3 months, which as Rush read today has been refusing cooperation with the Russia probe, and which produced Egg McMuffin.

That is just irrelevant conspiracy nonsense that brings madness. There are so many professionals in the INTEL community who work very hard to get it right. Yes, the political appointees from Obama were corrupt, but I trust SecDef Mattis and the entire leadership team is sober and rational right now; deadly so; President Trump was decisive about this use of chemical weapons. I trust his judgement.

A healthy skepticism at the very least is warranted.

To side with Assad, Iran, and North Korea ? All three were focused like lasers on developing weapons of mass destruction and delivery systems. Fortunately Israel took the heat and destroyed the Syrian nuclear program.

Sorry, I trusted Bush’s intel. I later learned instances of how specifically the intel was manipulated to show a certainty of WMDs when it showed no such thing.

Now I still am not sure if there were significant WMDs there, but that’s not the point. As to all the loyal people working there perhaps they should have mutinied against Brennan. Personally I have only known one CIA analyst and she was a flaming leftist.

Does anyone think that Iran will replicate the seizure of US Navy patrol boats and humiliate our sailors after this?

In many ways this one-off attack against a Syrian air base is a tempest in a teapot. It is in response to a Syrian use of chemical weapons. There is no indication that the US will follow this attack with more military action directed against the Assad regime.

At the same time, the US has been bombing ISIS targets within Syria for months on almost a daily basis and we now have over 1,000 military personnel inside the country. We are doing this without the approval of the Assad regime. We have technically violated the territory of a sovereign country. Yet, tonight's attack against a Syrian air base has some of these posters clutching their pearls and crying the sky is falling.
