I have seen how skateboarders act — as if they are invulnerable and own the road.

I know where my money is on who was responsible for this tragedy.

When I was going through a bad place, I used to ride my bicycle in traffic up 3rd Avenue in NYC in rush hour.

It wasn't that I thought I was invincible. It was that adrenaline was pulsing through my veins because I was in a tough place.

Lucky I am not dead.

That said, my comment was a statement on my experience of late, still biking (32 years later). Have been nearly hit on numerous occasions. Folks on the phone or texting.

And I now live in a small town in South Georgia.
