13-Year-Old Shocked When He Meets the Voice of Bart Simpson While Selling Cookies

A 13-year-old got a big surprise while he was selling cookies for a fundraiser.

James explains to Nancy Cartwright, who he didn’t know was the voice of Bart Simpson yet, that he had to sell seven boxes to get a limo ride and had already sold six.

Our very own @nancycartwright charming the world as Bart from @TheSimpsons This is adorable! His face when he realizes is priceless! pic.twitter.com/CpPgvV2hCL

Cartwright tries to guess his age but is off by one year and has a great response.

“I’m 10. I’m 10 and I go to Springfield Elementary,” she said. “I’m Bart Simpson, put ‘er there, man.”

James acts a little confused and says, “that’s a really good impression.”

“Is it pretty good? Do you know the guy that does it?” Cartwright asks.

Jacob tells her he doesn’t know who does the voices in the show.

That’s when Cartwright says “Well, shake my hand.”

Immediately, Jacob is shocked and realizes he is meeting the voice of Bart Simpson, Nancy Cartwright.

Cartwright ends up buying 10 packages and gives James a signed card.

“I don’t know who was more excited, him or me. I swear, just, I’m so lucky. I’m so so lucky,” Cartwright said as she drove away.

Awe, he was such a cutie!! https://t.co/vkKoYQVTPK

I always wondered if they ever played around with the voices in public. Now I know.

My favorite episode ever is still the one where Sideshow Bob agrees to sing the entire score of HMS Pinafore (before he tries to kill Bart).

This show has been on the air for 28 years.

Think about that people. An animated show that started when GHWB was POTUS.

Director Kevin Smith on a talk show mentioned that whenever Johnny Depp was in Hollywood with this family their kids would play together. All of them would enjoy Depp doing the voice of his character Captain Jack. So when the kids came over to his house Smith would do his character, Silent Bob. They weren’t impressed.

I always wondered if they ever played around with the voices in public. Now I know.

Back when "The Lion King" was out in theaters, Nathan Lane (the voice of Timon the meerkat) and Ernie Sabella (the voice of Pumbaa the warthog) were in a supermarket when they noticed some kids (with their parents) congregating in another aisle. They decided to do their characters talking. "Y'know, I should get this high-fiber cereal, Timon; it'd be good for my digestion." "Well, anything'd be an improvement over YOUR digestion, Pumbaa!"

The kids with their parents in tow came running over to the cereal aisle! They introduced themselves and showed the kids how they were the voices of the characters. The kids weren't TOO disappointed...

I wonder if she ever imagined at first she would still be doing that voice 30 years later. She fist did it on “The Tracy Ullman Show” starting in 1987. In 1989 Fox spun The Simpsons off as it’s own show.
