Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that is this shows motus operandi. I'm betting the fight with the Saviors is a two part show and tonight we get to see the first part. In October we will get to see the finale of this season and beginning of next season. Maybe it's because it's based on comic books yet to be released. Maybe Negan survives, rebuilds his army of takers, and comes back to kill more key players.
I don't like it anymore than you do. Just finish the dang season fer cryin out loud.
This is one of those TV series that would be more fun to binge watch once the show is finished for good. No six month waiting between 2 part shows.

Have been watching “The Man in the High Castle,” season 1. Pretty good, but I’m a history buff, so it’s easy to analyze what things would have “been like.”
We missed the last 10 minutes of last week’s episode. We has Dish Satellite and a storm came rolling through at that time and we lost signal. Is it worth watching again tonight before the finale?

Oh wow thanks for reminding me, I heard that was a good show. Actually my brother told me about it. He said they should make another show, what the world would have been like if Hillary won the election LOL!

What is the fascination with this show? With Death?

Binge watching is the way to enjoy everything. I binged "Breaking Bad" after the series had ended, discovered "Walking Dead" on Netflix after the first four seasons had passed and just this week talked my wife into sitting down together and introducing ourselves to "Game of Thrones."
Unfortunately, this takes a tremendous amount of patience and you have to accept a few spoilers from time to time unless you plan on living in a cave like a hermit.
If the time element is important to you then turn it
on 15 minutes early. Get five minutes of refresher stuff
and 10 minutes of programming that you haven’t seen.
Please make us care about them again. I want an episode with real intimacy, like when Beth and Daryl were on the lamb alone. Or give us tremendous acting like when Carol had to kill Lizzie. Even a real action scenes like at Terminus. Or the attack of the wolves when there was character development in the middle of the tumult.

And I don’t blame Eugene at all for joining Negan.
Half his past is gone (Abraham). And Rosita doesn’t seem far behind. Eugene has no loyalty to Rick and gang. In his view, Rick and gang failed to protect him (I.E. Abraham and Glenn). So he’s just looking out for number one.
He’s on Easy Street and with a big jar o’ pickles. Can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same.
The reason Rick and gang are enemies is because they slaughtered all those saviors at the satallite station. I wasn’t totally on board with that.
Who knows, maybe if Rick and gang would’ve peacefully joined Negan, they could’ve been a moderating force?
In before the “I haven’t watched t.v. since Nam,” “this show is stupid because zombies aren’t real and would have decayed,” or “this is such a boring show... I like to watch black and white cowboy movies”. Have I covered all of them?! :) That being said.... can’t wait for tonight! Yes.... it will probably be a cliffhanger BUT I am so up for Rick and group to start doing some violence on Neegan and group. Bring it!!
