Makes two drinks:
4 jiggers gin (or vodka if you need the Russian connection)
6-8 leaves of fresh mint
1 tsp sugar, white
Ice
You need two Martini glasses (chill if you have the time)
Bowl
Spoon
Strainer
Shaker
Set aside two mint leaves for garnish. Muddle sugar and leaves using bowl and spoon until leaves go from light green to dark green. Add one jigger of liquor to mint and sugar. Chill mint, sugar, and liquor mix with glasses in freezer for about 1/2 hour. When you can longer wait, add ice and remaining three jiggers of liquor to shaker. Strain mint, sugar, and liquor into shaker. Shake until chilled. Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with floating mint leaves. Toast DJT for draining the swamp and then drain the swamp in your glass.
The drink is yellow green with specks of green. Skip the straining and add all the muddled mint to the glass if you want a more DC swamp representative murky drink.

I’ll take mine Shaken, not Stirred.
If I get into a certain mood, this would also work with Ouzo or Schnapps.

Strain mint, sugar, and liquor into shaker
sounds ok but isn’t the mixture from the freezer to thick and frozen to strain, can we just dump it into the shaker?
