Half my friends back then had moms from Germany.

Those people are not descendants of the Conquistadors. They are descendants of the people who got conquered. They want Meso-America back under their control. The “Hispanics” are more Indian than their are European.
A few ground rules: I won't wear socks with sandals or liederhosen.

Given what the authorities (and German men) are allowing Muslims men to do over there, is anyone surprised?
Maybe they want a GI for that specific reason? After WW2 many German girls wanted the hell out of Germany. No men left anyway. So many died in war.
My wife is German descent and she is an extreme type “A” who gets things done, where I’m a MN Scandinavian and very laid back... complete opposites but it works well.

In an increasingly barbarous environment, I could see where a German woman might feel safer with a military man.

THIS IS NOT GOOD.
IF that’s what you want. However, as my father fought the
Krauts in N. Africa, Italy & Germany in WWII; there is NO
WAY I would have brought home one of them and rammed them
down his throat. - My SIL is a German & you do not tell her
ANYTHING. She already KNOWS IT ALL & you are just a stupid
American. My BIL is neutered and she wears the britches
‘cause SHE is SO BRILLIANT. She’s OK as long as I don’t
have to spend a lot of time around her. - Daddy didn’t have
anything against the ordinary conscripted German soldiers;
but with good reason, he had no use whatsoever for the
Nazi officers. Don’t get me wrong. If they were shooting
at him; he was shooting right back just as fast. I can
get along with the SIL; but I don’t hang around her any
more than I can help. That war left more scars on me than
some people. Daddy was shell shocked all to blazes; had
flashbacks just about all his life. (Flashbacks are NOT a
dream; they are BEING THERE over and over and over.)
My parents met and married there. My dad was in the Air Force at the time.
My brother worked with a guy whose dad was in the Bataan death march. He didn’t talk about it. However, he would not even consider buying a Japanese car. He bought a Chevy Luv pickup and was really hot when someone pointed out labels on the car that were printed in Japanese.
Mine fought the Japanese at Guadalcanal, Guam, Saipan, and a couple other operations. He had absolutely no love for them and he suffered flashbacks from time to time too. He was in Korea too and got hit six times and came home.
