I took action much later than many freepers, but I recently cancelled Cable TV entirely. There are no TV shows I want to watch, and the News is complete garbage.

What surprised me is that Verizon didn’t even give me a hard time:

Me: “I want to cancel my cable subscription.”
Verizon: “Okay, what day do you want it to stop?”

I got the feeling that they were used to that sort of phonecall.

I believe TV as we know it will be no longer in our lifetime. We are now finally noticing that siting in front of a TV for the nightly news is more of a liberal indoctrination than a fair presentation of the days events - what "news" is supposed to be.

I’m COL(clapping out loud) for you. I also LOL’d because
when I ended it, my experience was opposite. I had to explain about 5 different ways that I wanted NO service whatsoever. They kept trying to explain the different packages, was I moving, etc. That was in 2006.

Enjoy your savings!! And peace of mind! And the satisfaction that you are no longer contributing to the problem.
