Getting To The Bottom Of This Russian Kerfuffle
TEA Party Tribune ^ | March 30, 2017 | Anthony James

Posted on 03/30/2017 9:50:02 PM PDT by Gargantua

On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, Senator Mark Warner (D-Virginia) stepped up to the microphone to address the press. As Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Senator Warner told the listening audience that Russia had definitely interfered in the 2016 presidential election. He stated that they had done so with the express intent of making America, “weaker, financially and militarily weaker,” as a nation.

He then directly contradicted himself, apparently unaware he had done so. He said that Russia had used their nefarious influence to try to elect “their choice of candidate, Donald J. Trump.” The one candidate who had based his entire campaign on repeated promises to, among other things, make America financially and militarily mighty once again. The only candidate who repeatedly promised to grow the American businesses, economy and military bigger than ever before, and to do it quickly.

If Russia had been trying to elect a president who would keep America militarily weak and financially floundering, they would have been all-in for Hillary Clinton. Anyone with a cursory understanding of her positions on the military or our economy would have to have known this. It is certain that Vladimir Putin does.

The fact is that Russia’s true and only interest, if any, was to sew general chaos and dissent, to disrupt, and hopefully call into question the validity of, our system as a Constitutional Republic. Sources close to the action in La Rodina assert that Putin, like much of America, had bought into the self-congratulatory D.C.-bubble-inspired consensus that Trump was done-for, and that Hillary would walk away with the Presidency. The leaks about improprieties in her campaign and illegalities in the Lynch Justice Dept. were intended to weaken her as the new president, and possibly aid in bringing about her Impeachment, or some other equally crippling Constitutional Crisis.

Parenthetically, any Americans who hope for such an outcome are playing directly into Vladimir Putin’s hands

Vlad Putin’s worst nightmare is a USA that is the military, economic, and energy exporting 9,000-lb gorilla that Trump has vowed to turn America back into, and is on track for as of this writing. The Democrats also see this, and it is this fast-approaching Trump rebound which has them looking for diversions, to keep America from acknowledging the remarkable effectiveness of the new President Trump.

It is far more likely that the Democrat’s insistence that all focus their attention on this obvious contradiction that, “Putin wanted Trump to win,” is to keep folks from looking too closely elsewhere. History shows us that Liberals like to accuse their opponent of doing that thing which they themselves are guilty of. Doing so makes any subsequent investigation into the crime quite muddy… a confused “he said – she said” quagmire. Factor in widespread public distrust of the MS Media, and the truth seems even more diaphanous and illusory.

A large contributor to the current problem most American’s have with Media credibility has been the willingness of certain members of the mainstream media to ‘run interference for’ the Democrats generally, and for Clinton and Obama specifically.

As a note of related interest, CBS News on Wednesday issued a blanket denial of “any concrete evidence” proving the Clintons received cash from Russia, an assertion ridiculous on its face given the public record of $145-million dollars paid to The Clinton Foundation, and $500,000.00 dollars paid to Bill Clinton by a Russian bank for a “speaking fee,” while Hillary Clinton was Barack Obama’s Secretary of State. The recent bestseller, “Clinton Cash” by noted author and government watchdog, Peter Schweizer, lays all of this and much more out in exquisite, irrefutable detail.

The strange CBS News report was in direct response to two Tweets from president Trump asserting Clinton-Russian ties, asking why nobody seems to be interested in looking at that. The public record as well as many independent sources have long known about the apparent Clinton Foundation-Russian quid-pro-quo regarding 20% of America’s uranium rights. Compare that to several recent statements by both GOP and Democrat officials that they have seen no evidence linking Donald Trump to the Russians or Putin… none.

Abe Lincoln is quoted as having said, “If you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps is usually the one you hit.”

Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and John Podesta, … might be a good place to start the real “Russia investigation…” …with a nod to CBS News for the tip.

Nobody who is capable of critical thinking and rational deduction could ever believe Putin wanted Trump to win. Not if we can believe what we know to be true of Putin.

Remember, there's a reason why they're Democrats...

I like this one best:

"You can fool some of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time. But you cannot fool all of the people all of the time."

You get the gold star. Pretty sure you caught an overeager automatic spelling/grammar-checker which believes "sow" is a female pig! Good catch.

It would appear we all come away from these articles with vastly different treasure.

"...media ...lying and denying ...under the protection of the first amendment."

I've often wondered, if the First Amendment doesn't cover yelling, "FIRE!," in a crowded theater, how then can it be used to cover willful deceit by massive news organs endowed with a sacred public trust that they not so misbehave.

There must, even in a truly free society, especially in a truly free society, be ways to combat and/or end the abuse of such phenomenal power.
