Kentucky has the best and worst fans in college basketball. Both of them in large quantities. More good than bad, definitely, but the bad is not an insignificant number.
When the Wildcats are eliminated in the NCAA tournament, guess which faction takes over? The lunatics. The freaks. The no-lifers whose sole coping mechanism is to lash out and blame someone because the young adults wearing their schools jerseys lost a game to young adults wearing another schools jerseys.
And their target is almost always the officials.

I think you would be hard pressed to find ANY coach that has never commented on officials in the media or after game press conferences.
BTW, did you happen to look at the link I posted from the Kentucky site???
Here it is again if you missed it:

Most talk about what they or their team should’ve done differently...
Yes I read it and agree with it. Never said otherwise.
Good...He did complain about the officiating, but he also showed just how the team was responsible for the loss...
BTW, I’m a University of Tennessee graduate..:^)
That’s why it tickles me to see KY lose...LOL
A quick search on Google has found incidents where coaches like Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams, Bill Self, Rick Pitino, Jimbo Fisher and Jim Harbaugh have all criticized officials. It happens.
And yes I know Fisher and Harbaugh are football coaches.
Not surprised about two or three of those...
And as I earlier said, MOST coaches don’t say much about the officiating...
Adults are rare these days.
Let me ask you this...
If you were coaching a small college football team and you were undefeated...You play an away game and you get 178 yards in penalties, get three touchdowns called back, get called by the head referee, who is behind the kicker for offside when you block a field goal and are beaten 1-7...This loss knocks you out of the playoffs...
Would you complain about the officials in public???
That was 10-7...
And as I said before, I do not believe Calipari’s comments had anything to do with what happened with Higgins.
I got out of coaching because of the referees and the parents.
This actually happened when I was an assistant coach at a college in Tennessee...In fact, the opposing team could not send us a copy of the game film because they said it didn’t turn out...
Our head coach said nothing publicly about this, but we were going to send the film to the NCAA if we had gotten one...
Probably.
Good for him, but he should have mentioned it. It would show he was taking up for his players. Fans are fickle and can form the opinion a coach is rolling over and letting something happen.
The players knew it...He made a comment at halftime that we weren’t going to be allowed to win...Just go out, have a good time and don’t get hurt...
We had very few fans there...We were 600 miles away from home and Div III fans don’t travel that far...LOL
Thank you TBK
“Neither are s bad as the arrogant, condescending Dookies....

Except the Tarheel fans.
Ahhh....The Dookies got “tripped” up....LOL
