230 feet is WAY beyond sport diving. And how close together in time were the three dives?
Way beyond recreational diving which shows how fake the news story is; they portray Rob Stewart as a "student" with his "dive master." Okay, but this is a very very advanced course. PADI limits for open water is 18m/60ft, while advanced open water is 30m/100ft. PADI deep dive limits are 40m/130ft so these divers were very advanced going to almost twice that depth over and over again.
I don't know the math in my head for the separation time for those depths. That is way out of my qualification and comfort zone.

There is no way anyone should attempt a dive of that depth with air tanks so they must have been using mixed gas. I retired my PADI Instructor license long before that technology was readily available so I don’t know either.
