There's nothing quite as frustrating as a bad movie ending. Failure to stick that landing in the final act can totally ruin an otherwise great film, or give us one more reason to hate one that was already a dud. Here's a look at some of the most annoying movie endings in recent memory. And it should go without saying, but spoilers ahead
The Matrix Revolutions | 0:23
X-Men: The Last Stand | 0:59
Signs | 1:44
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 | 2:43
Now You See Me | 3:27
I Am Legend | 4:15
Man of Steel | 5:14
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King | 6:06

reminds me of what we think is the BEST ending - Inglorious Bastards! If only....
In the recent movie, Passengers, why were there NOT descendants of the two, children and grandchildren?
What planet have you been on the last 50 years?
The emperor was a Marxist democrat.
Besides power and control, they don't need no stinkin' reason!
“The Mist.” Have to agree there. Slit-your-wrists depressing.
“The Road.” Almost as bleak.
“No Country for Old Men.” Stupid, unsatisfying ending. Nothing was resolved but a lot of people were dead.
I actually never saw the ending to “Inception.” There was a thunderstorm with hail that knocked out power to the cinema with 5-10 minutes left to go.
Never seen any of them.
What? you forgot The Terminator?
Huh? No Country For Old Men. The movie explains why the Sheriff retired. He knew he’d die otherwise, because the place had become “no country for old men”...
There, hope that helped sew it up. I’d agree that when the movie ended, I didn’t quite get it at first. I had to go over the movie from start to finish in my head to figure it out. The first 3/4 as we follow the guy with the money, I thought the movie was about him. Then he got whacked and I’m like????? Then the Sheriff walks into the wrong room, realizes the murderer is next door, leaves...
Great movie and well deserving of best picture. Haunting too....have wanted to see it again, but it’s a frightening flick.
The best scene ever was when Will Smith punches out the squid then says "Welcome to Earth!"........
Yes, the Trinity Killer was the highlight season of the series. They filmed nearly the entire show in my small neighborhood at the time. We were taking a walk one evening and onehouse was taken over by filming. As we walked by, we asked what they were filming, and they said Dexter. I said, “Oh, a kids’ show.” And they stared at me, shook their heads, and said, “ NOT. NOT a kids’ show.”
So I started watching. Almost all the characters lived within 3 blocks of each other. They filmed there for years; it was fun to watch. Trinity, his first wife, LaGuerta, Jimmy Smits, etc. They blew up (in miniature) a landmark house two houses from ours.
Yeah, the last season really sucked.
I never did see Lost so you could be right.
I thought “The Road” would be the feel good movie of the year.
I was incorrect in that assessment.
Since I have approached the end of my life, and never seen Old Yeller, ow might be a good time to watch it, no?
The Road is most depressing. Especially the cannibalism.
Ah yes. I don’t know who thought that the penis name on the boat was a good ending. My Penis is Happy, The End. Lol.
>”Independence Day I gave it a virus”
>Hey, who’s to say a super advanced alien civilization wouldn’t be using C++ programing code.
There’s actually a long deleted scene from the film where they explains how the the apple laptop shuts down the alien mother ship with a pretty decent explanation that they figured out how to make alien code calls from the software from the fighter they captured. But it was boring and hurt the flow of the movie so they deleted it.
Yeah...I've always wondered how an alien species to whom water is as acid and breathes our air can do so without being effected by ambient humidity which on some days can be quite a high percentage. It would be as if a human were put into a chamber where the air is comprised of oxygen, nitrogen and chlorine gas.
I've always wanted M. Night Shama-lama-ding-dong to explain that one.
I thought the end of “Titanic” was one of the BEST endings ever! Leonardo DiCaprio’s character finally died!
