I just read this in that article:

“Police later arrested an Oologah woman who is believed to be the getaway driver on three complaints of first-degree murder and three complaints of first-degree burglary.”

Three complaints of first-degree murder? Huh? I hope they ain’t charging him!

It’s called the felony murder rule. If you are join with others to commit a dangerous felony and someone, anyone, is killed, you can be charged with murder. Even the getaway driver.

Many states have a felony murder charge, whereby any surviving accomplices are charged with murder for participating in the crime wherein their other accomplices were killed.

Nope. Here is the beautiful thing about theft laws. If anyone dies during a robbery, even if accidental like a heart attack, all parties that conspired in the crime can get a murder charge. Even if they are not the ones that pulled the trigger, and even if they become the ‘victims’.

So that woman will be charged for the death of her three idiot friends.

they are probably charging the poor stupid girl that was the getaway driver with 3 counts of murder and 3 counts of robbery. some places can charge criminal accomplices with murder when their people die during a crime. her life just got a whole lot more interesting
