Separate beds for generations in my family. All the men are rough sleepers, tossing and thrashing around a lot. I used to bruise my wife up pretty good! Got a pair of singles.
This is pitiful and deserves no attention at all. My wife was watching good morning america today and I wandered through on my way to the front porch with my coffee. The show is nothing but stirring up crap or fluff stuff, just pablum for the mindless and I said she would be joining them if she kept watching. Crap is what is the flavor of the day that somehow passes for journalism and news. Nothing more than mainstream national enquirer.
I’ve had a job that involves phone calls all night, we slept apart. I have a horrible back now and toss all night, we sleep apart. I’ve spent half the year a month at a time away from home and she held down the fort and we always have looked forward to seeing each other when my month away ended. Somehow we have made it more than 40 years together through thick and thin. We will take care of each other until one of us dies. I don’t know who I hope goes first but we will have to leave that to God of course. Whichever it is I pray he / she can go on, live a good life and have good memories.
I’m starting to hate a lot more people than I once did. I see more and more ugliness in them every day.
Me too but I let them both sleep with me.....
First time I've seen someone who backs up my claim that rambunctious sleepers may be hereditary.
Common comment in my family, for several generations, is "they sleep like a kicking/bucking mule".
There used to be some old humorous list of “Differences between Republicans and Democrats” that poked fun equally at both sides. One item on it was: “Republican married couples sleep in different beds. Democrat couples sleep in the same bed. That’s why there are more Democrats.”
I can think of three couples in my family who were married more than fifty years each who had separate beds. Maybe that's the secret...
