It was a prop plane. You can clearly see the prop hub on the street in the pics. Looks like it was carrying a cargo of paperwork. Perhaps bank checks? From the shape of the cowling on the street I’d guess it was a Piper Aztec.

One news report says it was a Cessna Citation 500 bizjet. Could be?

“The Federal Aviation Association said a Cessna Citation I aircraft en route to the Fulton County Airport went down east of the Cobb County International Airport/McCollum Field around 7:20 p.m.”

Not a prop plane as you surmised.....My daughter’s first hand account was accurate..

According to the FAA (news reports), it was a Cesnna Citation 1.

Perhaps bank checks?

They quit flying bank checks around the country after 9/11. The Check 21 Act converted almost all check transactions to electronic after the paper hits the first bank. There are a few banks that aren't on board yet, but most checks are handled this way now.
