Ducks are not mean, but geese are, and ostriches are. So since size is a factor here, and geese and ostriches are larger than ducks, I am going to guess that a horse sized duck would have quite an attitude.
Horses mostly kick people who are behind them, so if you can keep in front of the herd, you'd be safe.

Where I work is surrounded by about 100 goose-sized geese. Neither their attitudes nor their poop is pleasant. I dread when they start nesting.
