Kill the bill. Let ObamaCare implode instead. If the Republicans alter ObamaCare, then the Republicans *own* ObamaCare. It becomes RyanCare, or worse, TrumpCare. And then, when it fails as it was designed to do from the beginning, it becomes the Republicans fault. The Democrats will get both houses of Congress immediately returned to them in the elections following a Ryan/TrumpCare failure. We know ObamaCare is going to fail -- better to do nothing and let it fail, than to own that failure ourselves.

jennychase: I live in Wisconsin. Wisconsin provides BadgerCare. It's real and it's real valuable. If Wisconsin can provide a healthcare service option like BadgerCare, then it is entirely reasonable states elsewhere will just pickup like that. Wisconsin is not, after all, on the bleeding edge of any kind of reform. Free market Article 10 independent state options will not only work, they are exceedingly practical.

Are you sure you understand what Trump actually wants, or how he is playing this game. I think there maybe some 3D chess here and fighting this plan may be exactly what Trump wants us to do while he supports it so they can’t pin the failyure on him. Then he will have a situation where he has leverage to get the bill he really wants.

It’s still an improvement on Obamacare and can be amended again and maybe with bipartisan support. If this doesn’t go thru, nor does the rest of trump’s agenda. Push for amendments with reconciliation and pass the bill and then move to corp tax reform and border tax. Revisit healthcare again after the 2018 election as needed
