The disclosure that Jamie Gorelick, a member of the September 11 commission, was personally responsible for instituting a key obstacle to cooperation between law enforcement and intelligence operations before the terrorist attacks raises disturbing questions about the integrity of the commission itself. Ms. Gorelick should not be cross-examining witnesses; instead, she should be required to testify about her own behavior under oath. Specifically, commission members need to ask her about a 1995 directive she wrote that made it more difficult for the FBI to locate two of the September 11 hijackers who had already entered the country by the summer of 2001.
On Tuesday, Attorney General John Ashcroft declassified a four-page directive sent by Ms. Gorelick (the No. 2 official in the Clinton Justice Department) on March 4, 1995, to FBI Director Louis Freeh and Mary Jo White, the New York-based U.S. attorney investigating the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. In the memo, Ms. Gorelick ordered Mr. Freeh and Ms. White to follow information-sharing procedures that “go beyond what is legally required,” in order to avoid “any risk of creating an unwarranted appearance” that the Justice Department was using Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants, instead of ordinary criminal investigative procedures, in an effort to undermine the civil liberties of terrorism suspects.

I remember being shocked when I found out she was Jared’s attorney, in an article posted here, maybe a month (?) ago.
If Ivanka had as much influence as the Trump critics claim, he would not have slashed global warming funds.
As for immigration, there are reports of ICE picking up illegals all over the place—and they show no signs of slowing down.
But if you think it’s helpful, then keep posting anything negative about Trump you can find, and keep pushing the panic button. As far as I can see, all it accomplishes is to drive Trump supporters off of this site and onto sites that are not taking shots at him every chance they get. Maybe that is your goal?

I support Trump. I don’t see him as so weak and gullible as you. From all that I have seen, he is completely focused on accomplishing the agenda he ran on. If he’s so wimpy that anybody around him can dictate 180 policy changes, then where is the evidence of it?
So glad you posted this. I forget how many years have passed...I’m sure there are plenty of freepers who have never heard of this vile woman.
To realize her closeness to two of the president’s closest confidantes and advisors (Ivanka and Jared) has really given me a chill. Anyone who minimizes the influence she can have, to say nothing of the information she will have access to, is kidding themselves.
I point you in the direction of his speech to Congress and the influence of Ivanka.
But you can believe what you want. Just don’t complain later when you see what happens with Gorelick.

The article I read said the meeting was a one-time event. Trump met with Al Gore, too. I guess that one meeting with Gore torpedoed Trump’s presidency, or something.
Trump better set some leak traps during the course of the next 4 years with Ivanka and Jared.
