Well, when you push back against "scientific consensus" you are going to get smacked down by the "theologians" of the day. Our present day Gaia "theologians" are not much different from the establishment "theologians" of Galileo's day. Galileo was condemned and imprisoned for daring to question the "scientific consensus":
the Galileo affair.
I remember many years ago Rush mocking "scientific consensus". He sarcatically suggested that the way to all truth is to "take a vote on it".
Galileo was condemned for teaching things that he could not prove over teachings that did have some proofs.
And for being a complete jerk to people who would have supported him.
I know he gets trotted out every time but he was the exception rather then the rule.
