“It is very useful to graphic designers to build mood boards”

Uh, oh. Now do I not only not know what pinterest is good for, now I find out there’s something called a “mood board” that I don’t know about what that is either.

If you’re a graphic designer with a certain brand for which you need to create a website, it’s common to go looking for imagery, layouts, etcetera that might seem to fit for inspiration. Old school method of doing this is to go through magazines and other printed matter, cut out or copy what you find that works and put it all on a board or boards. Apparel designers and really any sort of visual designers do the same thing. Mood board, trend board, brand image inspiration board.
