Nordstrom insists its line of Ivanka Trump products, ranging from professional sheath dresses and black pumps, wasnt selling well, so it had to be dropped. So what did it pick up? High-wasted, acid-washed mom jeans, complete with see-through knees, selling for $95 a pop. Made by Topshop a hip British retailer the jeans feature clear, plastic kneecap covers, sewn into the fabric. Nordstrom.com says the jeans have a futuristic feel. Even the liberal Huffington Post is questioning why.

Re: Does that futuristic feel include the clammy feeling of sweat and adhesion anywhere in the US warmer than 65 degrees?
That numbing cold of shear plastic against a bare leg at anything colder than 45 degrees?
True, but these jeans have the benefit of keeping your knees dry if you are caught in a rainstorm without an umbrella. You can’t put a price on dry knees.
I’m sitting in a newly remodeled Hampton Inn right now. A piece of furniture had a rough edge on it that put a very small snag in a new pair of jeans. I called the desk to let them know about the furniture to fix it before someone wearing shorts cuts themselves.
They offered to buy me a new pair of jeans. I’m goin gto take them up on it because: 1. I wear them for work with customers and 2. Jeans with holes in the knees look stupid unless you’re a 6 year old boy who was obviously busy at play.
thanks for the warning.
Totally off topic, but I’m on the road, staying at a Hampton Inn tonight. I’ll watch out for the edges on furniture, lest I get a snag too......
I wouldn’t worry about it. They just remodeled this one and I might be the first guest in the room. It was just a rough screw hole under a desk.
They replaced it within 3 minutes of my call.
What... the... Hell?
They aren’t as cool as Prince’s jeans:

WTH ?
A stupid gimmick (that is ugly) that might last one season ... barely.
Classic never goes out of style.
