EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros is trying to see if there is more life in The Matrix beyond the three groundbreaking films written and directed by the Wachowskis. This is all in the exploratory phase and its unclear if the Wachowskis, then Andy and Larry but now Lily and Lana Wachowski, or the original cast will be involved, or producer Joel Silver. Right now, I hear the studio is likely to create a writers room of scribes to figure out the best possible way to relaunch the franchise.

IMO, the first movie (which was pretty good) told as much of the story as needed to be told.
I own all three and the Animatrix shorts. The first one was great. It is argued that it was written by a woman as a Christian alegory. i.e. Christians have taken the Red pill.
The follow ups absolutely sucked, unless you are a martial arts fan. Animatrix shorts are interesting in spots.
BTW, the name of their ship is Mark 3:11 -—
And when the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him and cried out, You are the Son of God!
One Matrix was enough. Two sequels were two too many.
Since “red-pilling” has entered the vernacular, I’ve been thinking they might do a remake where everyone takes the blue pill and votes for Democrats and lives happily ever after.
They should do both a prequel trilogy and a sequel trilogy. BTW all 3 movies I enjoyed. The dance scene in Zion was epic.
It’s going to be like Star Wars. They will go prequel all the way.
But there is already a prequel to the Matrix. I think it was called Terminator.
It was one groundbreaking movie and two disappointing sequels. The first sequel was so bad that I never bothered to see the second.
On Tatooine... :-)
So, when does that movie come out?
I can’t wait!
LOL
Yeah, Hollywood did what they do best, take a mediocre movie and sequel it to death. Next up, another super hero movie - Batman in the Nursing Home.
I’ve thought they have had enough in their toolbox to make a successful TV series.
I know that movies turned into TV series never go well, but they have the ability to tell about multiple worlds, dimensions (Utopia, city, rural, medieval, etc) that they have plenty of material.
And Neo doesn’t need to be there. They can create all new characters.
Some people won’t watch movies made by trannies.
And since the “brothers” who created it turned into women, I would expect it to go from trope to social justice screaming messaging on screen.
LOL
“Considering each movie was worst than the previous that franchise should stay dead.”
I agree with you 100%.
It takes a lot of folks to make up a world but I must say that virtually anyone that I have ever met who ‘likes the Matrix movies’ are folks I just cannot ‘cut around’ with.
They look like middle-aged scene girls.
Count Floyd!
Pancakes!
better than having to think up something (gasp!) new
