My one spring break was Fort Lauderdale in 1968. I was a sophomore.
By today’s standards it was like a tea party(different types of tea to be sure ). we thought we were pretty wild though.
I never went on Spring Break because my university ran on a trimester schedule. We did not get a Spring Break (though classes wrapped-up in mid-April which gave us an early jump on the summer job market).
About ten years ago they changed to a traditional schedule with a Spring Break. Word is that the Florida Tourism Bureau wrote a whopping check to get that done.
