Anita Ward who hit it big with "Ring My Bell" is now ringing her bell in disco heaven. Where did you see this? Anita Ward is still with us from what I have found.

You are right. I must have had her confused with somebody else. Anita is still down here among us. In her honor, I will stream her 1979 album tonight.
Here is some trivia for you. The song "Ring My Bell" was originally written for then 11-year-old Stacy Lattisaw. The original lyrics were about pre-teen girls chatting on the telephone. But when Stacy passed it up, the lyrics were made more suggestive and it became a massive number one disco hit for Anita.
By the way, Stacy is still alive and kicking - she just turned 50 years old.

Half of Peaches & Herb ("Reunited" and "Roller Skater Mate") is now dead. I think the Peaches part is dead but don't quote me on that.Herb is still with us at age 75. Peaches died 12 years ago at 58. I looooved "Reunited."
