Ways to improve this site (We just did)

I remember about 11 years ago the first time I was banned here for saying something controversial

Those were the Glory Days Jim could raise his quarterly goal in a week now a days I watch it take three months sometimes so let's brainstorm how to make this site better

I’m a moderator on another site. The more archives the site gets, the more expensive the site becomes (more space is required to host the site). The site owner has pointed this out to the moderator team.

On the one hand, this site does get a lot of frivolous vanity threads. Also it gets a lot of threads that are of short-term interest only.

On the other hand, there are a lot of important old threads as well - say Barbara Olsen’s, for instance....or, for an entirely different reason, Buckhead’s.
