Disagree. I thought that Depp’s portrayal of HST was brilliant and very funny. Depp had three really good roles: HST, Edward Scissorhands, and Capt Jack Sparrow. Though if you look closely, there is a lost of similarity in his movements/mannerisms for HST and Sparrow.
Depp was funny but Murray really captured the essence of Hunter Thompson. It wasn’t just them either. The whole movie captured him better.
