HA!!! If I wasn't already boycotting Amazon due to Bezos' leftists propagandizing, I sure would now.

As you likely know, Amazon has a $600,000,000 contract with the CIA for 'data storage'.

"I always try to tell the truth, I'm not always right, but I would never intentionally lie to you or anyone else,"

Didn't the HAL9000 say something similar before trying to whack the astronauts?

Has Amazon ever made a profit?

They’ve been around for 20 years, they get bigger and bigger and bigger. Their stock is through the roof ... and as far as I know, they’ve never been profitable.

Most peculiar.

I am sure the CIA/NSA can access these new devices as they can access your TV or webcam.

Sounds like black helicopters to me. Alexa has no intelligence. All its replies are programmed, or found literally in the database.

Of course it’s connected to the CIA, NSA, et al. We live in the land of the “free”. Remember? Where “we don’t need no steekin’ warrants”.

No, I didn't know. Do you have a source? Assuming that's the case, the only logical conclusion is that the CIA can spy on Amazon user accounts.

I asked Siri the same questions. She said “I can’t answer that” when asked if she is connected to the CIA.

“I am sure the CIA/NSA can access these new devices as they can access your TV or webcam.”

Light bulbs, refrigerator, dish washer, etc. You live in a spy grid. Where everyone is a suspected enemy of the state.

“and as far as I know, they’ve never been profitable. Most peculiar.”

Well, you pay taxes on profits. If you work your books so that you never profit, you don’t pay taxes.

Back to Alexa- I would not want a cloud-connected box that listens to every word spoken within range, waiting for a command. Alexa, some TV sets, other devices stream out all that they hear to...somewhere.

“”Alexa, are you connected to the CIA?” the user then asked.”

Sorry, please clarify. What is connected?

CIA will be bored to tears with a mundane yet patriotic and pro-America experience if they tune-in to my frequency, Kenneth.

Taxes are paid on profits. Perhaps no profits ( like many Hollywood movies), equals no taxes. Lots of rich people with huge salaries and expenses, though.

The Details About the CIA’s Deal With Amazon

A $600 million computing cloud built by an outside company is a “radical departure” for the risk-averse intelligence community.

Frank Konkel Jul 17, 2014 Technology

The intelligence community is about to get the equivalent of an adrenaline shot to the chest. This summer, a $600 million computing cloud developed by Amazon Web Services for the Central Intelligence Agency over the past year will begin servicing all 17 agencies that make up the intelligence community. If the technology plays out as officials envision, it will usher in a new era of cooperation and coordination, allowing agencies to share information and services much more easily and avoid the kind of intelligence gaps that preceded the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Try asking Alexa too have sex with you in various way. It’s all a program. Ask Siri the same CIA questions.

It is well and widely known. Thousands of references to it easily available in search engines.

Here is the first one that came up in the search I made moments ago:
