The lawsuit, filed Friday against Boeing in U.S. District Court in South Carolina, names seven malfunctions, from an electrical fire to depressurization of the plane's cabin, that could have led to the crew losing consciousness, the plane's transponder stopping its transmission and the plane flying undetected until it crashed after running out of fuel.
It came as families of the missing passengers and officials marked Wednesday's third anniversary of the Boeing 777's crash.

The U.S. lawsuit was filed by Gregory Keith, a special administrator for families who lost loved ones on the Malaysia Airlines flight. It names 44 victims as plaintiffs.
It was filed in South Carolina because Boeing has built a massive new plant in the state to build the 787 Dreamliner.
Boeing doesn't comment on pending lawsuits, but spokesman Tom Kim said in a statement the company's thoughts continue to be with the victims.

The lawsuit notes that search efforts for the plane have ended....
Boeing also didn't use available technology on its 777 planes that would have allowed them to be tracked at all times and made the flight and cockpit voice recorders easier to find, the lawsuit says.
Boeing knew of design flaws on the aircraft, including defective wiring near combustible sources like the emergency oxygen supply to the plane's crew, it says.
"The defects caused and/or allowed a massive and cascading sequence of electrical failures onboard the lost plane which disabled vital systems ... making it impossible for the crew to navigate the plane or for the plane to communicate with the ground stations leaving the aircraft to fly without the ability to communicate or control the aircraft until the plane ran out of fuel," lawyers wrote in the lawsuit.

you put muzloids in charge of an aircraft you never know what you’re going to get.
Key words: “that COULD HAVE caused...”
Speculation.
Can the CIA hack planes in-flight?
It COULD HAVE been caused by space aliens.
I don’t see how any judge can allow it to go forward without the plane being discovered. Although, on the list of 100 factors...I might rate this in the top ten.
A lawsuit based on theories and conjecture.
I think it will be tossed for lack of evidence.
Could have? How about finding the evidence? Could have been an alien death ray too.
Don Lemon (genius and racist, CNN) thinks it COULD HAVE been caused by a BLACK HOLE!
Or bacon.
Mr. niteowl77
.
Did they mean a Black “a” hole?
.
They need to sue Islam.
DL is a black ‘hole.
This is a stupid, frivolous lawsuit. It should be rejected, and the people filing it should be fined the costs of responding, plus punitive damages. To sue over “maybe someone did something, although we have no idea what” is grossly immoral, even for a lawyer.
Now consider the potential for significantly larger vehicles - like MH-370 as potentially implied with this thread's linked NBC article:
And then consider Obama's final moves while in office - particularly executive order 12333 expanding the sharing of intel among 16 agencies.
And then consider the infiltration of those 16 agencies by nefarious compatriots sympathetic to Islamic goals sharing this technological weapon.
Was MH370 a test case?
See, that’s the problem. They can’t collect from those who caused it, so next in line is a wealthy corporation. Bonus points for a non-union shop, in The South. Woo hoo!
“Boeing also didn’t use available technology on its 777 planes that would have allowed them to be tracked at all times and made the flight and cockpit voice recorders easier to find, the lawsuit says. “
IIRC, it was the airline that declined to pay for this service.
Using this logic, Ford should get sued if I decide not to pay for anti-lock brakes, and get hurt as a result.
Unless they’ve found the AC, I don’t see how they can bring a suit.
At this point, from what we are learning from yesterday’s drop of Wiki Leaks, I would say yes...
What about all the ‘unexplained’ aircrafts crashes in the last few years, I would look them up and post them, but at this time I am very busy to do that, maybe later today I will post a thread on this...
