Hi, Viking! Are the azaleas blooming nicely where you are? We have the “early spring” here, and they’re beautiful.
Ha - are you kidding? The hanging strawberry baskets in front of the porch are not only blooming, we've got green strawberries in there! A Dutch tulip under one of the pine trees popped up last week with a big yellow flower that looks like a lawn ornament! We've got bags of potting soils and bulbs we need to get going. More strawberries, tropical ferns, and we're going to try our hand at trash can potatoes this year. One of the peach trees is budding, and it looks like we're going to get our first crop from the new trees this year. Apples, not so sure of - they take a little longer to mature. We've shied away from going ape with too many varieties of fruit. I think we're just going to drop in another couple of apple and peach trees, and leave it at that. Haven't started sowing any veggie flats yet for fear of a rogue frost, but it's on the schedule. Lordy, Lordy, we've got so much we want to do this year because I can finally walk more than fifty feet at a time and we have the financial resources to do it now, thanks to my new job.
