Just in time to go get his next NFL contract, Colin Kaepernick's national anthem protest is done.
On Thursday morning, according to ESPN, Kaepernick, who spent all of last season kneeling during the national anthem in a polarizing and impactful protest of police brutality and minority oppression, is suddenly done kneeling.
"Kaepernick no longer wants the past method of protest to detract from the positive change that he believes has been created, per sources," ESPN's Adam Schefter wrote.

I think he woke up and realized the value of a future contract. He’ll be lucky to get picked up by anyone....for 5-percent of what he made before.

How much can it matter. For half the season he couldn’t start for one of the worst, if not the worst, teams in the NFL. And when he did start he sucked. Can’t recall if he won a single game. Somebody may pick him up as the third string QB just to look at in camp but his chance of catching on with anyone and making a roster is minimal.
Hey, Kolin, you made your decision, now make it yours and be prepared to die by it. Don’t start trying to suck-up now because I hope it is too late.

Now that we have a REAL President, it’s only natural that he drop his protest...
The anthem he’ll be standing for will be “O, Canada” by the looks of things.
He’ll soon get a chance to sit again during the National Anthem at NFL games...in the stands.
Ah, that must mean he's a big Trump fan and no longer needs to protest now that the President is safely in office, right?

Has he indeed been cut by the 9ers? Everywhere I look says he’s still on the roster. If cut, when did that happen?

So is he gonna’ go around wearing an American flag pin now that he’s looking for a job? No one in the NFL really wants him on their team anyway. I don’t think the ‘49ers even offered him a new contract, they just let him go to free agency.
I could be wrong about the last part but I don’t care enough about Kap to look into it any further.
