I’ve tried using a smartphone to capture a certain reoccurring event in my area that many people also have witnessed. The smartphone I have doesn’t have the ability to capture good images or video of it, I’ve tried. I don’t have any other means to capture video or take pictures, but I’ve debated investing in such because I’m almost certain I’ll see these ‘things’ again.
Very good camera gear can be had for cheap these days, if you look around. A lot of today’s digital cameras also do video, and the quality is surprisingly good.
