Malia Obama looked especially happy to be headed to work this morning as cameras caught the former First Daughter smiling on her way into the office.
The 18-year-old flashed her pearly whites and flaunted her long ombre locks as she arrived at her internship at the Weinstein Company in New York City on Tuesday.
Malia hasn't often grinned for the paparazzi while going to her production company gig, which she started in late January but the teen seems to have gotten into the swing of things and appeared to be in a good mood this morning.
She dressed casually for the office in a pair of black leggings, black boots, and a bomber jacket, while her two-tone strands fell around her shoulders.
The natural beauty seemed to be make-up-free as she got out of her chauffeured car, a backpack slung behind her, and let herself into the building.
She also took a moment to talk on the phone before hanging up, smiling for the cameras, and heading inside.
Malia scored the prestigious internship for her gap year before starting at Harvard next fall.
She's making about $9 an hour in the production and development department, reading scripts and deciding which are worth pitching to executives to put into development. Sources told TMZ that unlike some other internships, Malia's job doesn't involve a lot of menial tasks like fetching coffee.
In the past, the movie company has produced Django Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook, The King's Speech, and Lion.
It's not all work and no play for Malia, though. This weekend, she caught a Broadway play with her dad, managing to keep a low profile in the audience before sneaking backstage for pictures with the cast.

And how much for the extensions? TWICE that! It’s all good, though. Mom and dad are inking a book deal for $70 million.
Yes, but she deserves to make a living wage. de Blasio needs to rectify this stat! ;-)
I am still waiting for the fair, impartial main stream media to offer Malia a $400,000+ on-air deal as NBC did Ms Hubble.
When I worked in NYC (1974-80), we got "dinner" money if we worked past 7pm. That was $2.65. My boss would insist that I put in for the dinner money. I used to tease my him that I couldn't buy a Snickers in NYC for $2.65!!
IIRC, it was $600k, which I suppose is 400K +, LOL
barely a living wage for the Clinton/Obama smolts regardless whether 400 or 600,000. But didn’t we all struggle in our first job days?
**...smiling on her way into the office. **
Smiles jes like her momma moose.
Give me a break! Please!
[Is that the new *dress for success look*?]
Hard times, hard times. Uphill coming and going.
Who cares?
Chauffeured car and $700 boots. I’d say she’s doing pretty good on that $9 an hour. Lol
Huge difference between ombré and balayage hair color. Hers is ombré.
Woven cloth fabric is cultural appropriation.
She should wear animal skins or giant leaves.

You think she paid for those boots?
