If you’re a man, it looks like you achieved the nearest male equivalent of pregnancy and needed the local medivac van to cart you home that night. For a regular restaurant, try Karl Ratsch’s German restaurant in Milwaukee and its braised goose shank dinner, washed down by a liter of dark Pschor Brau . Does the same thing.
I love John Pinette's routines. The kids get a kick out of the buffet and "I don't do ups" routines.
That first Plate must be a doozie. #;^0
Watch out using them ugly words!! - I have THEOBROMINE
problem. Can’t eat shellfish. The last two fried shrimp I
ate gave me a horrible migraine. That was years ago. :o(
Yup. Pinette suffered a coronary and died in his Pittsburgh hotel room two years ago.
There is a huge country breakfast buffet near here...fried meat everything including fried fatback..OMG
Cathead biscuits.. grits milk gravy, redeye and brown, syrups, honey and jams
You can see folks seizing right there at their tables...but GOOO-UUDDD!!
Don’t have to eat for 3 days after a couple runs through there....
LOL
But the sign says “All you can eat for $10”!
That IS all you can eat for $10!
You can always go to the bathroom and induce vomiting to make more room in your tummy.
It really makes the experience more cost effective, too.
In college a bunch of us went to a breakfast brunch buffet. We must have stayed 4 hours. At one point, we got up and when we came back, the waiter looked at us and said “You’re still here?”
One of my proudest moments.
I don’t like most buffets either. No matter what the regulations may be, I always wonder how often they recycle food that sits out for a long time, and the bacteria accumulating therein.
"Salad is what food eats." :-)
bump for later viewing ...
Dallas once had a special place such as this. LITTLE BIT OF SWEDEN. The family would eat there every Christmas eve. Not so fond of the sour cream and herring but the watermelon rind pickles and endless shrimp in base of creamy sauce were delicious. The taste remembered, the name long forgotten.
A Chinese restaurant near us does this once a week-all the shrimp you can eat. Golden Corral, Pizza Hut both have all you can eat buffets often
One doesn’t walk out, they waddle.
I’m waiting for all you can eat lobster.
