The former model looked stunning as she accompanied her husband Donald Trump at the rally.
Less than a month since he was sworn in as the US President, Donald Trump decided to hold a rally in Melbourne, Florida.
Melania, who was pictured holding her husbands hand as they walked through the crowd, glowed in the simple yet eye-catching scarlet red dress. .

Oh, I disagree. The cut is fabulous as well as the detail at the hem. The fabric is probably also quite fine, judging from the way the dress hangs.
Melania is a stunning woman, but she also has great taste in clothing.
I just said the exact same thing to my hubby. She really is just gorgeous.
Yes, and in this day and age, that is a rather radical thing to do -- recite the Lord's Prayer in public.
It was dazzling because it was being worn by Melania Trump. The dress itself, while I’m sure it was very high quality tailoring and fabric as practically everything she wears tends to be, was “just” a peasant dress. Simple and casual, right for the climate and occasion. She rarely misses a beat, very well thought out. The domestic press and the left (but I repeat myself) severely underestimate her, just as they do her husband.
“She looked wonderful. We so much appreciate having a classy First Lady”.
What I appreciate even more is that we have a First Lady who loves America and Americans and is proud to be an American.
Love Melania, but I really wish she’d put some effort into enunciation, perhaps practicing? I have two foreign parents one of whom is russian, am foreign born and multi-lingual. Her english is worse than most europeans who have never lived here. I don’t get it, particularly because they keep saying she speaks multiple languages... unless she speaks them all equally bad.
Uh-oh. Prepare for incoming.
I agree with you, but yours is not a popular sentiment here on FR.
She looks happy. And nice. Michelle never looked either.
I can understand her just fine.
Why is it I now enjoy looking at photos of the FLOTUS more than I did 30 days ago?
If required to choose between a FLOTUS with no accent who looks like an antique dump truck and one with a pronounced accent who looks like Melania...
I know and I don’t care lol, with age comes privilege ;)
Seriously, the best part of Melania as first lady is that she’s foreign born and there will NEVER be talk of her running for anything. I’m tired of spouses running for seats, or taking their dead husbands or fathers seats.
I’m not comparing her to any other first lady... Im just flummoxed as to why her english is still so awful after all this time.
She does not speak English poorly, she speaks English with an accent. Rather like someone from Alabama or Texas :)
Do you mean she speaks English with a pronounced accent or that her grammar and vocabulary are poor?
I speak Spanish, with no English accent. So much so that I have been asked what part of Mexico I was from. However, my vocabulary and grammar are not nearly as good. I knew a gentleman many years ago that was nearly perfect in grammar and vocabulary, he even preached in Spanish, but his accent, his pronunciation was terrible. He lived and worked among Mexicans for over 60 years and it never improved.
So I can believe that our First Lady speaks many languages, she just may not have the ability to mimic the different sounds that are made in different languages.
According to wiki, she speaks "English, French, Italian, German, Serbo-Croatian and her native Slovene. I think we could stipulate that she is unlikely to have an accent in Slovene. But the quality of her speech in the other languages presumptively depends, first, on the age she learned them and secondly on the technique by which she was taught. Personally I have a nodding acquaintance with German, but I learned that smidgeon in High School and on my best day my pronunciation, say nothing of my vocabulary and grammar, would undoubtedly have made you laugh. On the age issue, John Adams thought that John Quincy Adams was a genius because he picked up Russian so much faster than his father. But of course, any Tom, Ivan, and Vladmir learns Russian flawlessly as children, by immersion.
In my defense as a monolingual American, the reality is that anyone whose first language isnt English has good reason to select English as his/her second language. My daughter picked Russian and Japanese; nowadays one might select Chinese.
In Melanias defense she was born in Czechoslovakia, which didnt break up until 1990 when she was 20. She most likely didnt have much chance to learn English before then, and also little opportunity for exposure to native English speakers before then. She came to America at age 26, and even then, her work visa was year-to-year until 2000. And her work certainly did not demand good English enunciation. So IMHO she was set up to learn good enough English. And then she met and married The Donald - and who was in a position to criticize her accent then??
. . . so what you see is what you get - no complaints there - but what you hear is also what you get.
grammar, vocab and enunciation are all poor. I wouldn’t even mention it, if her spokespeople didn’t constantly bring up her being a polyglot lol
She’s slovenian not Czech. Again, I’m well aware of what it takes to master a language, I wish her handlers wouldn’t push the she’s a polyglot angle, unless they’re saying it’s her passive use of all these languages that is fluent. She’s barely fluent in english, and I’ve never heard or seen a video of her speaking in another tongue. Slovenian and Serbian are a given as she’s from the former Yugoslav republic.
Like I’ve stated, I know many Europeans who have NEVER lived in the US who speak school english with better grammar and syntax and often no discernible accent.
