Trump's repetitive rhetoric is a trick used in advertising

The style of repetition isn’t lost on linguists, who say his speech is similar to what advertisers use to get people to buy products. And it’s working, thanks to the makeup of our brain.

“This is something taught in every marketing class,” he said. “He knows how to use your brain for his advantage… Trump is always selling. He’s selling himself.”

You have to have a decent product/service in order for the tactic to work consistently.

And Trump delivers.

My Career Navy father, always had a proverb,an idiom, a saw...

For this I think he may have used, ‘only believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear’.

That was in the time of radio/some TV and papers.
With the internet?
‘All early reports are error prone’???

I may have to dig out a copy of “The Hidden Persuaders”.

“But wait, there’s more!”

I like it, and have used it in meetings!!!

Because it is simple and has more weight than just four words! And is fun.

You mean like "make no mistake" and "let's be clear" ?

Obama repeated those while holding his middle finger alongside his cheek - subtle message advertising against us. Also repeated "I" hundreds of times in his speeches to make us sick.

How about doing and expose on the Alinsky tactics and cliven and the Cloward-Piven strategy of the left.

That is absolute nonsense! No such thing! That is absolute nonsense! No such thing! That is absolute nonsense! No such thing! That is absolute nonsense! No such thing! That is absolute nonsense! Hard to say which is more obnoxious: Obama’s preacher cadence, or his black-comic/street-punk cadence. “I-I-I-I-I-I...” Where he pretends to be searching for words because what Trump said is so preposterous.

It’s not like the media which repeats the say old tired lies ad nauseam: Russians Hacked our Election, Trump is lying about the Media (how unAmerican), etc.

I’m not buying it. I did sales for while. It doesn’t work, unless you’ve got something the customer wants.

As I see it, there is no “customer remorse” with Trump. We really want what he is selling.

Like duh. How about doing and expose on the Alinsky tactics and cliven and the Cloward-Piven strategy of the left.

Take a small kernel of truth and wrap in many layers of lies and repeat it every day until it becomes reality in the mind of the public. This is what the media does.

Alinsky was a very evil man committed to violent revolution in the name of Marxism. He unfortunately was very brilliant.
