TAKE THE NEXT STEP AMERICA
When people think of the United States of America, they tend to think of a few things right away: freedom, power, and capitalism. To true Americans, these three values are to be defended more strongly than life itself. But unfortunately, while many people are staunch believers in capitalism, few people take it to the next logical step: nationalism.
Competition through capitalism is what forces companies to be better. It is what has made us the world power we are today. The influential philosophers of modernity, Ayn Rand and Adam Smith, praised our economic system as the way to achieve greatness in the world. Competition within America is exactly what we want and it naturally leads to another pillar of the United States: nationalism.
Just like how companies compete within the United States, and through that competition become more efficient and effective, the United States is in competition with the other nations of the world. And America intends to win. I grew up hearing, America is the greatest nation on Earth. While that may still be true, it may not be for long. Just like people who attempt to undermine our capitalistic economy through despicable practices such as socialism and communism, some try to undermine the United States the same way. Like socialists, they try to say that we should give our money to the rest of the world so that they can be raised to our level. Capitalism shows that giving handouts is not the way to improve a country, competition is. What incentive do countries have to improve if we are handing them everything they need? We should cut off ties with other countries and focus on doing what is best for Americans, just like we would if we were all a part of a company. Other countries will naturally get better this way. This is fine, we will still come out ahead.
Some people are unknowingly undermining the United States, and this can be more dangerous than those who do it purposefully. Just like you wouldnt patronize your business competition, we shouldnt patronize other countries. When individuals send our manufacturing jobs to other countries, like China, we are losing jobs and money we could have for ourselves. This reckless sabotage must be stopped.
You must remember: to support capitalism, compete for yourself first and your country second. If your friends try to tell you that you arent being fair, hand them a copy of Atlas Shrugged. If your friends say isolationism is bad, offer them a one way ticket to Russia. If your friends say, Whats in it for me? say, Your freedom.
Educate the masses.
Sincerely, David Alexander
Welcome to Free Republic.
What’s the point in a business competing if it impoverishes all of your American customers?
Do we want workers in the USA getting wages of third worlders?
Another cheap labor express guy...
