New York Times Reporter Apologizes for Calling Melania Trump a ‘Hooker’

The New York Times reporter who called Melania Trump a “hooker” at a private event on Sunday has apologized, saying he wants to “take ownership of a mistake” he made.

Jacob Bernstein, the son of Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein and the late writer-director Nora Ephron, came forward on Tuesday to identify himself as the journalist who repeated what he called “unfounded rumors” about the first lady in a conversation with model-actress Emily Ratajkowski.

“Speaking at a party in what I thought was a personal conversation, I nevertheless made a stupid remark about the first lady,” he wrote in a series of tweets. “My editors have made it clear my behavior was not in keeping with the standards of the Times, and I agree.”

“Speaking at a party in what I thought was a personal conversation, I nevertheless made a stupid remark about the first lady.”

Yeah, right.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump said something in what HE thought was a personal conversation: It was red meat for the “women’s movement” and is the story that will NEVER DIE.

Bernstein the younger calls the First Lady a whore and he gets a slap on the wrist by his editors at “The New York Times.” It seems, with each passing day, the Left and its handmaidens in the media set the bar lower and lower for what is acceptable and appropriate to say about President Donald Trump, his family, and his Administration.

We have emerged from the confounding epoch of the double standard into a new era of no standards of decency, at all.

I beg to differ. Your behavior is SOP for the Slimes.

I'm too lazy to google the guy, but he was described as a "reporter", but not about political matters.

Sooo... WTF is the guy doing at the NYT?

His dad was a political reporter. Somehow, I'm wager he was hired on his dad's name (spit).

Was he hired to write weather forecasts? Movie reviews? The latest on women's shoes? On LGBT issues?

Do these fools HONESTLY wonder why Trump treats them the way he does? They can’t be that detached from reality.

Since this individual works for the NYT they are ultimately responsible. As well we all know MSM is not held accountable for their drive by shooting. They know once they ring the bell it cannot be un-rung. Apologies do not un-ring the bell
