GM has endured years of losses at Opel, its main brand in Europe. It had hoped to reach break-even by now, but last year posted a loss of $257 million for the year.

GM destroying Opel like they did Saab.
Back in the ‘80’s I was in Germany for two weeks on business, and was given a 3 liter Opel to drive. It cruised easily at over 200 kph on the Autobahn. It was a very nice car.
I always enjoyed the entrance and exit signs for the Autobahn: Einfahrt/Ausfahrt.
Some enterprises aren’t worth saving.
