That’s why I do.
I was a semi-auto guy and never thought I would have a revolver until I met the guy I shoot with on Sundays now.
Former Marine Corps Colonel taught me the advantages of revolvers, no out of battery if in contact with perp, no need to rack slide, always ready, never fails.

Sorry, but for every out of battery problem (there is never a need to rack slide to chamber a round if carried right), I think problems if a jammed cylinder failing to rotate perfectly, one of 50 parts failing, especially the little ones like the pawl, a semi-automatic is more reliable than a revolver every time.

Sorry, but the misnomer that a revolver never fails killed a number of FBI agents in the Miami shootout.

IMO, most revolvers are inadequate SD weapons. They tend to have short barrels and bobbed hammers and that negates the accuracy and muzzle energy advantages of the magnum revolver platform right out of the gate. They tend to have a lot of muzzle blast and jump which makes follow up shots harder. If they are of the magnum variety, recoil is severe which makes us disinclined to practice with them. Then there's the reduced capacity problem which is even more of a problem when you consider that you may be in a fight with multiple attackers who may very well have high cap semi-autos. And God help you if you need to reload. I have an 8 shot 357 S&W Night Guard that I consider to be minimally adequate but I know it still isn't the best choice. The Glock 20 (10mm auto) is a much much better choice IMO. Next best is a Glock 29 (the smaller 10mm auto).

In a real gun fight, a revolver doesn't give you a single advantage. fact is, it handicaps you.

Anyone have experience with the Chiappa Rhinos? A guy on YouTube sang their praises when he was arguing for revolvers as a carry weapon.

Someone can also manually grip the cylinder to prevent movement, and if it has an external trigger it can be blocked.

Nothing is exactly perfect.
