More than 100 supporters showed up to a rally in a small Mississippi town Saturday to fight back after being forced to remove a Christian flag flying over Veterans Memorial Park.
One organization stepped in and threatened to sue if the flag wasnt taken down. But the Christian supporters say theyre not backing down.
There just comes a point in time when youve got to be politically incorrect and take a stand, said organizer Kevin Nelms.
They rode from the VFW in Corinth, 12 miles, to the Veterans Memorial Park in Rienzi, proudly waving their Christian flags. The same flag this town of just over 300 was forced to take down when the Freedom from Religion Foundation sent a letter last week, threatening a potential half-million-dollar lawsuit.

FIGHT!!!
The FFRF looks to me to be able to produce money out of nowhere. Way overdue to be investigated.
One Nation Under God . . The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit!!!!
I think it should be ok for liberals who support the National Council of Churches to fly the ‘Christian’ flag. But let’s not confuse them with real Christians.
YES SIR!!
“One organization stepped in and threatened to sue if the flag wasnt taken down.... the Freedom from Religion Foundation”
Yes, usually one malcontent wants to dictate their preferences and wishes over the overwhelming majority who disagree. It’s way past time for some serious pushback on this type of leftist, minority tyranny.
Has anyone investigated the FFRF? Their money sources have to be shady.
They don't need much money, only some letterhead stationery, a law clerk to crank out threatening legaleze and a fax machine/email account.
Voila! Extortion pays!
They should allow flags of all religions to be flown in a vets memorial.
May God bless and protect this town.
They should allow flags of all religions OF THE DEAD REMEMBERED to be flown in a vets memorial.
FTFY
That’s what I meant. What does ftfy mean?

FTFY
Every homeowner in the town should fly one on their property.
Even if they force it off public land, they can’t force it off private land.
Same with manger scenes, or anything else.
As private citizens push back and bury them with what they object to.
“Has anyone investigated the FFRF? Their money sources have to be shady.”
That’s an excellent question. I have not heard of anyone digging into their funding, etc., but I’m sure it would be interesting. Their religion is anti-religion (at least anti-Christian, anti-Jew) and they are truly zealots.
