If Chinese police were involved in Xiao’s abduction from Hong Kong, it would appear to violate the former British colony’s mini-constitution, which only permits the Hong Kong police to operate in the territory.

Just goes to show that Hong Kong’s mini-constitution isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.
Once the British relinquished Hong Kong the Chinese were going to do as they please.
This shows it.

I spent over 1.5 years in HK and the HK police are split with Chicoms and loyalist HK cops. The Chicoms did not need to violate sovenerity by sending in unauthorized cops, period, they are already on the local police force.
