I see gay supporters of Trump touting that he is the first Republican President (President period actually) to support gay marriage going into office because of what he said on 60 Minutes about how the Supreme Court decided and he’s “fine” with it.
Currently there are disturbances in the force of much more concern than gay anything, so I understand the President would want to concentrate his attention, and address those issues rather than get into it with the cult of self interest.
