True but remember that it is easier to catch a bobcat than it is to let go of it. Bobcats don't look for trouble from humans but if a human wants trouble, ignores the warnings, and pushes the issue, the bobcat will willingly oblige.

A guy around here got between a bobcat and the dog he was walking. The cat got him pretty good.

The city won’t do anything about the bobcats in the subdivisions. They say if they trap and remove them, others will just move in, or in the worse case scenario, the coyotes will take over the territory. Folks losing small yippy dogs out of fenced back yards are understandably unhappy.

They do expect the next drought to knock the population back down. A wet year and a mild winter, and they are becoming common in some areas of town.
